Study in Australia
Australia's education system offers valuable opportunities for North American students looking for an academic and personal challenge in an English-speaking education system that is compatible with their own.
North American students can enrol in undergraduate (www.gostudyinaustralia.org/undergraduate-degrees) or graduate (www.gostudyinaustralia.org/graduate-degrees) degree programs, as well as summer, semester or year-long programs (www.gostudyinaustralia.org/study-abroad-programs).
Australian qualifications are highly regarded and internationally recognised. University entry is competitive and academic standards are high. All universities are considered "accredited" and are closely monitored by the Australian Government, which has a strong commitment to the provision of quality higher education. All but two of the 39 universities are public institutions and are government-funded.
Please visit the official Study in Australia website (www.gostudyinaustralia.org) for information about studying in Australia – including information on academic culture, living in Australia, tuition and living costs, and student visa information.
On the website, you can also search for programs, link to Australian universities' websites and follow a step-by-step guide on how to apply to an Australian university.
SCHOLARSHIPS
There are a number of prestigious scholarships administered by the Australian government's Australia Awards program. The Study in Australia website (www.gostudyinaustralia.org) also has a comprehensive database of scholarships offered by Australian institutions. Visit the Study in Australia North America website for a listing of scholarship specifically for American and Canadian students.
